He knew for a fact that jueteng had been stamped out even before he was assigned in the province, and that Small Town Lottery (STL) being run by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has taken its place. So, Lebin was surprised to hear a reporter asking him about his policy on the illegal numbers game.

Jueteng, a popular illegal numbers game had ceased to exist in Pampanga and in other parts of the country because of the PCSO-STL, according to a government-run lottery firm.

So what jueteng was being talked about?

Lebin should focus now on his work and start looking for the right avenues, if you know what I mean.

Being an officer in charge (OIC) of the premiere provincial police office, it would be better for Lebin to exert more effort in improving further the peace and order situation in the province.

Focus more on the illegal drugs problem and riders-in-tandem robbery group.

We love to live in places where we feel safe, away from trouble, with no illegal drugs pushers and with friendly cops on our midst. This is a big challenge for you Lebin. You have to start a big bold step to achieve what the people of Pampanga want.

A professor from the Holy Angel University (HAU) had been accused of rape and seduction by a student in the same school.

The suspect, Arnel Atienza Ocampo, reportedly an English teacher, allegedly sexually molested the victim since she was 17. The first assault was recorded sometime on October 2006 and was repeated several times in separate occasions. The sex-maniac teacher reportedly took a video footage of his sexual encounters with the victim. He uses his copy of the video to blackmail the victim should she resist the suspect�s carnal desires. This professor should be banned from entering another school campus. He has no business teaching the youth.

Last week, unidentified men lobbed a grenade at the residence of Cabiao, Nueva Eciija councilor Julito Wycoco.

There were three hand grenades thrown near the house of the councilor, but fortunately only one exploded; the two were duds.

The grenade rolled under the car parked in front of Wycoco�s house before it exploded. Fortunately, the councilor was not harmed.

Wycoco is the brother of my good friend, former National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) director Reynaldo Wycoco (Wykes).

Wycoco blamed his political rivals, but the police said there was no basis and pre-mature to say that politics is behind the bombing. Sobrang aga naman yata nang political violence sa Nueva Ecija. Sa 2010 pa ang elections at 2009 pa lang ngayon.
